Educator, Orton-Gillingham Specialist, and Parent Advocate for Learners of All Ages

At Aligned Academic Solutions, I bring decades of experience and a passion for helping learners with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning differences reach their full potential. I am a certified Montessori teacher, trained in Orton-Gillingham literacy instruction, and hold a Master’s in Education. I have worked for 18 years in public schools as a special education teacher, taught students across a wide range of ages, and guided parents and professionals through IEP planning.

Beyond my professional experience, I have homeschooled my own child for eight years, which gave me firsthand insight into individualized learning, flexible instruction, and the challenges and rewards of supporting students outside the traditional classroom. This perspective informs everything I do, helping me connect with both homeschool families and students seeking personalized academic support.

My approach combines evidence-based strategies, compassion, and practical tools to help learners build confidence, strengthen executive functioning, and develop lifelong academic skills. I believe every student can thrive when instruction meets their unique needs, and I am dedicated to helping families navigate that journey successfully.
